Children And Adults Committing Cruelty To Animals
The link between cruelty to animals and the sociopathic mind is one that has been known for years. Serial killers, such as Ted Bundy and Son of Sam, both were involved with some form of animal cruelty in their past.
This is a disturbing facet of human nature; however, by understanding what makes a sociopath tick, with regard to their penchant for harming defenseless animals, it may encourage parents who notice this trait in their children to take precautionary measures.
With organizations such as the FBI all agreeing that cruelty to animals at a young age is a precursor to serial killing and rape, one should be watchful of how their children treat companion animals, such as dogs and cats.
If a child has a mental disorder, then abusing small animals makes them feel as though they have dominance and control. If left unchecked during childhood, then as an adult, this behavior will likely transcend to human victims.
Cruelty to animals by humans can be stopped. No matter if it is a child or an adult committing the abuse, it needs to be stopped. In order for this to take place, people have to become more active in their community.
As society becomes more and more violent, our children need an abundance of love, support and protection, just like the animals do. Each of us needs to take a step to stop the violent against all animals.
