Choosing A Pet Bird Parrot
There are many exotic bird breeds, but for some people, nothing but a parrot will do. And when it comes to parrots, the kind most people think of immediately are the large, very brightly colored types known as macaws.
If you’ve always wanted a pet bird parrot, you may think about this parrot as one of your possibilities. However, you should never make this decision lightly, because as sociable and intelligent as these birds are, they require a lot of time and dedication from their keepers.
Even among the many types of exotic pet birds, and among parrots, the macaw is the kind of parrot that stands out. It’s not as good a mimic of human speech as some other types of parrots, and it can get very loud, but that is all part of its generally gregarious and sociable nature.
Being highly intelligent, the macaw loves playing and interacting with its human companions, and learning tricks. This is the sort of pet bird parrot that will keep you on your toes.
For an engaging and interesting pet, getting a macaw as a pet bird parrot is a good recommendation, if you are realistic about the amount of time and work you might have to put in.
But if you think of the daily bird training as an enjoyable activity you’re doing together, then you will forge a fascinating companionship over all the years you live together. Who could ask for anything more in a pet?
