Better Ideas For Planning A Vegetable Garden
As people realize garden grown fresh produce is far superior to the produce at the grocery store, planning a vegetable garden has become more important. You need to allocate areas in your garden for specific plants, some plants help other plants to grow and produce the fruit and vegetables you need to enrich your meals.
When planning a garden, you should look for an area in your yard that receives plenty of sunshine, as vegetable plants require sunshine at least 8 hours a day, to continue to grow. You will also need the right soil. You do not want soil with heavy clay. If your soil has heavy clay, then you need to replace it with a well draining soil.
Use a compost bin to provide organic nutrients to the plants in your garden. Compost can also be a layer on top of the soil to prevent weeds getting to the top.
You may want to place two or three miniature fruit trees nearby, to give you plenty of fruit. You can place miniature lemon, orange and pear trees. Ensure you place them a little away from the garden so that they do not create shadows over your garden plants, as the growing plants need plenty of sun to continue to grow.
