Rose Plants To Bring Blooming Colour To Your Landscape
Not all roses are red. Some are red, white, pink and there are even yellow roses. My favourite are the white roses. I have a flower bed with rose plants that include red, white and yellow roses.
Whenever there is a special social event, like Mothers Day or our wedding anniversary, I go into the rose bed and collect fresh flowers. I like to include different colours in the rose bunch. For example, I may collect a bunch of red roses and include a white rose in the middle, giving a nice contrast to the bunch.
When our family bought our home, there was only one rose plant with rather large red roses. I have now added a few more rose plants, increasing the variety of colours of blooming flowers. My favourite are the white roses, although the red roses are more popular. After all these years, we still have the original rose plant.
Some people have difficulties in bringing up blooming roses every year. The secret is selective pruning. You need to cut back in order to bring out as many roses as possible. I talked to the nursery staff to find out the exact pruning requirements for my rose plants, to suit my local area. Now I have a wonderful range of blooming roses to show for my efforts.
