Most people have experienced sitting around a campfire at the beach or camping out in the woods, yet there is one thing that can always ruin the experience: bugs. To avoid having your time away from your regular routine ruined, bring a bug repellent whenever you go outdoors.
There is a wide variety of products out there, from sprays and lotions, to an electronic pest control device that you can use to keep your time outdoors from being reduced to a lot of scratching from bug bites.
The most common bug repellent is in the form of a spray or lotion that can be easily applied to the skin, which work through scent. Either the scent is one that bugs do not like and therefore avoid, or the scent produces a neutral odor that masks the human scent.
This masking means that bugs are less likely to be drawn to the wearer of the spray or lotion and bites are therefore prevented. As with electronic based repellent devices, some brands have been proven to be more successful than others, and so research should be done before buying any product.
As you can see, buying some kind of bug repellent is synonymous to enjoying your time outdoors. Being bitten several times when you’re trying to have a fun time outdoors is not just annoying; it can have a real impact on whether your trip is a success or not.
