National Home Gardening Club On Facebook

Perhaps you stumbled across the National Home Gardening Club on Facebook and wonder what they’re all about. At www.gardeningclub.com, you can get a free, 30-day trial and issue of their gardening magazine. This is probably the best way to truly know if the site is for you.

Members can elect to pay annual dues under $20 or purchase a self-renewing lifetime membership, which comes with special rewards. If your garden is your pride and joy, and you’d like to share your gardening experience with others, then you might enjoy what this national club has to offer.

Annual dues for the National Home Gardening Club range from $12 to $18/year, with annual calls for renewal. Life members pay a one-time fee of $250, including a dues deduction if they were previously a regular member.

Many participants choose to pay installments on their membership fee. Gardeners ages 65+ will receive a $50 discount. A Premier Life Membership costs an additional $99 (or six installments of $16.50) on top of the regular Life Membership.

In the forums, home vegetable gardening and home flower gardening enthusiasts say that the Life Membership is worth it just to not have to remember to pay dues again. They also say they like getting the bi-monthly magazines and gifts.

The National Home Gardening Club isn’t the only organization you may choose, of course. There is also the Garden Club of America, Gardeners of America, the Men’s Garden Clubs of America, National Garden Clubs Inc and others.

You can also find a number of gardening ideas and tips, and friends at social networking sites like www.facebook.com or www.myspace.com, which are entirely free to join. The problem with many online garden communities is lack of participation, so you’ll want to look around to find one that is thriving.

The benefits of a club like the NHGC is that you can receive a number of gifts, discounts, contest giveaways, seeds and free products as you meet new friends and read informative garden advice articles.
