Keeping Garden Pests Away From Plants
Garden pests can overtake your garden and munch away at all your hard work. These days, some people do not want to use insecticides, herbicides and other poisons to kill pests. You can keep pests away from your garden with natural means.
If you have snails, slugs and rodents eating away at your vegetable plants, you can look at ways to prevent them reaching your plant. One way, is to place mulch on the soil close to the plant, making the road difficult for garden pests to reach your growing plants.
If you have birds and squirrels eating at your garden produce, seedlings and bulbs, then you can place birdfeeders and squirrel feeders away from the garden, somewhere up a tree, making it easy for these pests to reach their feed and ignore the garden.
You can also look at placing a birdbath near the birdfeeder, to make the area as hospitable to birds as possible. The birds will have so much fun in the water and in the birdfeeder, they will not even notice the treasures in your garden.
