Organisations Focusing Against Animal Cruelty
A love for animals can motivate a person to work for the fight against animal cruelty. A good place to start this work is to join one of the many organizations that focus on stopping the violence.
All one has to do in order to find a good organization is to look online or turn on their television. Thanks to television channels such as Animal Planet, the plight of the world’s animals has been put on center stage.
One of the most well known groups against animal cruelty is PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Since the early eighties, PETA has been an advocate for the animals that do not have a voice.
They are based in the United States but have affiliates in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, India and the Asian-Pacific Rim. Some may think that PETA is very extreme in their beliefs, but in reality all they want is for the animals to be protected by laws all around the world.
Companion animals are in desperate need of help in the fight against animal cruelty. With organizations such as PETA and the ASPCA, the fight is a little easier. However, they cannot make it without contributions from concerned citizens.
Everyday, millions of animals are tortured, neglected, abandoned and abused for absolutely no reason whatsoever. In order to stop this cruelty, people have to get up off the couch and do something.
A donation of five dollars can go a long way in helping an animal recover from human neglect and abuse. They are counting on us to do the right thing.
