You can invite your friends and neighbors for a party around the outdoor fire pit. I always put a little fence around the fire pit so people or pets don’t accidentally fall into the fire pit.
If anyone wants to walk across the fire pit, I always tell them how to do it safely and not get burned. I have developed a technique where I never get burns whenever I show people how to walk across safely.
Some people make it across safely, some get burns and a lot are too scared to try. I always have available first aid treatment for burns, but if the burns are severe I always get advice from my neighbor who is a medical doctor.
At such events, I always invite my neighbour, just to help out. But his medical advice is rarely needed.
